FRIDAY AFTERNOON~ 4:54 P.M:
"Hey, Four-Eyes! Where do you think you're going?" A boy asks, nearing Gary. Gary simply kept quiet and quickened his pace. Only a few more minutes before classes end for the day, he thought.
More delinquents joined the first boy, and they caught up with Gary. He fell as they pushed him, hard. Books and test papers flew everywhere.
"Ha-ha! You're such a geek!" They taunted. "SHUT UP!" Gary yells as he quickly picked up his things.
"Oh, feeling tough, aren't you?" one of them said, narrowing his eyes. "C'mon guys, let's beat the living daylights out of him!" The other members of the gang agreed.

They left. Leaving Gary in the hallway, blood and bruises all over, his glasses cracked and clothes stained with his blood. "See ya on Monday, Four-Eyes!"
Gary crawled to the corner near the lockers, where he'd be hidden from more bullies.
The bell rang, signifying dismissal time. The doors of every classroom burst open. Everybody was busy getting their books out of their lockers and discussing the trends to even notice him.

6:00 PM. Gary was alone in the corner, aching from the wounds and shivering. He couldn't get up, because it hurts his feet. He couldn't crawl to the door, it caused pain in his flippers. So he sat there, groaning and hoping some teacher checking test papers or a janitor would hear him.
A beam of light appeared, accompanied by merry whistling. Gary looked up and saw a pyjama-clad girl about his age curiously looking at him with a flashlight.
"Hey. What are you doing here at night?" She says. Once he heard her voice, Gary knew it was Samantha Carsons, Teacher Carsons' kid.
"Some guys beat me to a pulp." He answered weakly as his glasses fell to one side.
"Hey, wanna come with me to Mum's office? You can stay there till tomorrow. I'm sleeping there for the night. Want a piggyback ride to the office?" She held out a hand. He took it and mumbled a "Thank you".
"You're welcome."
